We were called in by Bathams to look at the fireplaces in there latest acquired pub The Bird In Hand in Oldswinford, Stourbridge.
We identified that the main fireplace in the main bar be the best area to provide a heat source following the increase in gas prices the pub faced. As with all of the Bathams pubs they selected the British made Charnwood C5.
They wanted this fireplace to be simple in its design and so the dart board could go back up above it. They opted for an oak beam shelf, boarded inside & a bespoke slate hearth. Central heating pipes were obstructing the hearth depth so we raised the hearth up on a simple brick upstand to gain our clearances.
*Hearth – Bespoke slate hearth 20mm with reclaimed brick upstand
*Stove – Charnwood C5 wood only
