Why buy kiln dried?

We work closely with white horse energy who supply our wood for showroom burning. We find buying kiln dried Ash by the crate represents better value for money than bulk bags that are often filled with a mixture of wood and are usually not at the optimum moisture content.  Dried in a large kiln to the correct moisture content of 20% or below. We find they burn hotter and much cleaner resulting in a cleaner flue system and cleaner stove glass.
